Sabine Parish Library Board September 2022 Minutes

Minutes

            The Library Board of Trustees met on September 15, 2022, at 9:30a.m., for a special meeting. Present: Donna Ammons, Diann Migliore, Kenneth Ebarb, Bonnie Miles, Sally Maxie and Paula Hardee. Absent: Lorene Jones. The meeting was called to order by President Donna Ammons.

New Business:

            The Board was informed by Librarian Debbie Anderson that, Fran Morris, the Branch Manager at the Converse Branch had tendered her resignation due to family illness. She gave 2 weeks’ notice, with final day of work to be September 29, 2022.

Old Business:

            It was reported that the Pleasant Hill Branch continues to be readied for reopening. The Branch Manager position continues to be open. Applications are being taken.

Also discussed were ideas for making the public aware that the Library Renewal Tax will be coming up on a ballot in November. The Librarian provided a list of dates scheduled for speaking engagements at community organizational meetings. The Librarian will present information on the Library System and the services provided.

                        There being no further business, the meeting adjourned by a motion from Kenneth Ebarb and seconded by Bonnie Miles.
